Pocklington & District Lions help with the Marie Curie collection in Pocklington
Members of Pocklington Lions installed a wishing well at David Smith’s Nursery Wilberfoss. We hope our wonderful well, superbly designed and made by the Men in Sheds, will be a good source for our charity collections.
Many thanks to David Smith and to Men in Sheds for all their help.
Pocklington Lions out at the Snake Lane 10K. on 26 February, in support of St. Leonard’s Hospice promoting the Wolds Walk in May
Santa and his helpers were out and about in Pocklington and Market Weighton with Santa’s sleigh and Rudolf, collecting for charity throughout December 2022.
We organised Santa’s Grotto at the Market Weighton Christmas ‘Lights on’ again this year. The queues were out the door and we all had a super evening.
It was good to see some of our our mobility scooter users get together. We all met for scrumptious tea at the The Lilypad Café and, of course, a chat as we enjoyed an afternoon in Burnby Gardens.
Many thanks to the Management and Staff of Burnby Gardens for a great afternoon
I just wanted to pass on a big thank you to you all at the Pocklington Lions Club on behalf of everyone at Martin House. We have just received the beautiful red tricycle you so kindly donated to us and we are so very grateful. I have attached a photograph of one of our Nurses trying it out with a member of the Care team! They are extremely excited to take it out into our gardens and introduce some of the children to it.
Once again thank you so very much for your support. It is, as always, very much appreciated.
Kind regards
Annabel Riley
